Patong Beach

The waterfront towards the Andaman Sea has two life.

Patong Beach during the day and an entirely different is on during the night, actually I prefer the latter, since I am not the only one on the planet we bring information about day and night.


Phuket has over a dozen of other major beaches everywhere around the seafront in all directions it is easy to find just the right for you.

Patong Tsunami and the disaster, actually on the island was only one place which was badly distroyed and that was here. 



Two typical situations are shown in the picture, the deadly at the left and at the right it shows that people are able to use the situation immediately.

The main difference is on the west coast where Patong Beach is are the better sand-strips because of the underwater topology where the limestone drops directly into the depth. Phuket Town at the west side and the south coast is different, there is shallow water. That actually wont make your holiday less fun since all resorts have swimming pools anyway. 

This is also became very evident during the Tsunami disaster where all damages were on the west coast because of the topology the waves could crush into the beaches. On the east coast they couldn't because the shallow water absorbed their energy.
