Patpong in Bangkok

This are two small connecting roads. 

Two sleepy links between Surawong and Silom Street in the financial district but at night Patpong is real hot stuff of the city where the sex virtually beats in horizontal positions and practically any other. 


The bars and nightclubs are located over several up to four floors and in the center is one of the most famous night market of the city.

At 8 pm the first bars open and the pretty "nightlife butterflies" move in. Why they call them "Butterfly"? Because they always move from one men to another like the little one moves from one flower to the next. They come in by the BTS elevated train, motorbike, bus or with the taxi, usually having a roadside or order a delivery from one of the restaurants around which belong to the same company as the bars.

Another night starts and the ladies do a short prayer at the Buddha Shrine in the club, every place has one of this. After the DJ turn it on and it gets noisy and chaotic.

At the bars pictured here there is no much cheating going on and if you feel something is wrong get the "mama san" and if you cant clear it with her ask for the manager, don't be shy they are quite cooperative. The real cheat starts beyond the second floor, the simple advice is don't visit any place above because you will encounter something unpleasant. Some clubs ask you to sign the bill for the first drink and have the next one be added on that bill, never do this because they will tell afterwards you consumed that, although if you didn't, you already signed for so it is difficult to retreat. 



The stuff is they bring you one beer and you pay for it right away and tell them they must open the bottle at the table in front of you to be sure it is not tainted. Naturally finally there still can be some cheating but if they see that you look the chance is good you wont be a easy pray for them. Many of this people get the most strange ideas you wouldn't even think about it.

If there is a problem which cant be solved get the police in.

The bar people are afraid of the guys in uniform and usually get cooperative when they see you get tough. There is one police booth on each end of the Patpong Road. The best is in general always go together with another person since they are only brave when there is a single customer. 

This also protects from other tourists who often get very violent after being drunk since they know they can do almost whatever they want because the police try to stay out into tourist quarrels.
